Giulia Zornetta (b. 1987 in Pordenone, Italy)

She used to study, work and live in Venice (Italy) but now she lives in St. Andrews (Scotland, UK). She graduated in History at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice in 2012 and she is a PhD student at the School of Historical, Geographical, Anthropological Studies of the University of Padua, University Ca’ Foscari of Venice and University of Verona since 2013. She is interested in medieval history and explores the building and transformation of identities, the relation between authority, government and societies, the history of conflicts and what they mean as a social practice. Her current research concerns Lombard South of Italy during the early Middle Ages and focuses on social and judicial practices.
