Céline Notheaux (b.1986 in Besançon, France)
issue 03 part II: jpeg.
Is a visual artist based in Paris. Her practice is moved by the relations we establish between ourselves, languages, systems of signs and their own symbolic power. The drawings instalations and books she produces arise from intuitions often prosaic, and then dredge a set of interests which contribute to underlining ‘ideal contexts’. Therefore, through the use of philosophical or existential matters, an absurd dimension and a critical assessment can emerge. Céline Notheaux studied at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencia (Spain) and graduated from the Superior Institute of Art of Besançon (MFA). Her work has been featured in various group shows across Europe (UK, Spain, France), and she recently debuted her first solo show titled ‘Portail Logique’ at Studio W un Pantin.
